MSP Westside Terminal and Hangars

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! I was recently given a DVD copy of a wonderful little COLOR film from 1959 or 1960, provided by Bill Weill, through Dave DeBace. It shows the North Central operations at the old West Side Terminal and Hangars here in MSP, along with other long gone aircraft/airlines.
Aircraft shown are DC-3's, Convair 340/440's, a Viscount, DC-7, Electra and the first JET flight into MSP by a WAL B-707. (Look at those SHINY Convairs!). Do enjoy this great gem of aviation history!!!

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! Today's posting are 5 more DC-9 shots from the Steven Pinnow collection for all to see/enjoy. Aircraft shown are N949N, N951N, N952N and N953N.

Of note, very shortly, I'll be adding another film to my YouTube account for all to see as well. It's wonderful, archival footage of the old West Side Terminal and Hangars at MSP, with heavy emphasis on North Central DC-3's and Convair 340/440's. I'm currently waiting for information on the film's creator to be able to add to the credits. This film dates from 1959 or 1960, in color, and also has footage of Northwest, Capital, Braniff and Western Airline's as well. :)

Hello everyone! I was recently forwarded a list of North Central Airline's clothing gifts from a fellow blog reader that I'd like to share with all.

Hello everyone, I'd forgotten that I had these photos of ONA (Winona, Minnesota) Airport on a prior camera. ONA was once a North Central 'stop' prior to flights continuing onto LSE (La Crosse, Wisconsin) or MSP. Of interest here is the lone Beech 18 (looks like a Lockheed 10A, huh?) on the field. Thanks to Dave DeBace for identifying for me. If I'm correct, the aircraft is used/owned by Winona University's Aviation Program. Enjoy!
